Yaacov Heller is a globally recognized and acclaimed Sculptor, Artist, and Jewelry Designer. He was born in 1941 in Cleveland, Ohio. His artistic inclination started at age five and was carefully nurtured. In 1972 Yaacov established residence in Jerusalem, Israel where he set up his studio, workshop, and foundry for the production of his superbly crafted and uniquely recognizable sculpture and jewelry. Rated among the world's top sculptors and silversmiths, Yaacov's designs are known for their rare intricacy, attention to detail, unique interpretation of the human form and spirit, as well as for his personal, unswerving commitment to artistic quality.

Much of Yaacov's inspiration comes from the Bible's most dramatic events, as he faithfully produces them in a variety of media -- including pewter, silver, bronze, and gold.

Yaacov Heller's works have garnered recognition and admiration from art critics and world leaders alike. He has been, on numerous occasions, commissioned to create historically significant works for presidents. kings, heads of state and other dignitaries. Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, George Bush , Bill Clinton, Margaret Thatcher, Henry Kissinger, Hosni Mubarak, Benjamin Netanyahu, Shimon Peres, Jacque Chirac, Yitzhak Rabin and Anwar Sadat are among a few of the world leaders who own pieces bearing the Yaacov Heller signature.

Several of Yaacov's magnificent outdoor monumental sculptures can be seen in Miami at Douglass Gardens. His 12 foot "Fiddler on the Roof", a self-portrait, is a significant piece in todays world as it represents the timeless message of the delicate balance of our lives. The " Celebration", a 10-foot sculpture of three dancing musicians, can be seen outside the Toppel Center for Life Enhancement. Both of these sculptures are musical and serve a therapeutic value to the residents.

Yaacov completed a 7-foot bronze sculpture adjacent to the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Mizner Park. The statue is permanently mounted atop Flossy's Fountain at the entrance to the Centre for the Arts. Florence Keesely, one of the first ladies of daytime television, commissioned this work which Heller chose to sculpt in her image as a young woman reaching for a star. Most recently, there was an addition to this beautiful piece. Flossy's ever faithful Yorkshire terrier, Schatzie was placed at her feet.

The Count and Countess de Hoernle, philanthropists to arts, education, healthcare and numerous other causes, have been portrayed in bronze by Heller. Beautifully designed busts were unveiled at The Childrens Museum of Boca Raton on September 24, 2010 in celebration of The Countess 98th birthday. A masterfully detailed larger than life bronze sculpture of the couple will soon be unveiled in the Count deHoernle Amphitheatre, Mizner Park, Boca Raton, honoring The Count and Countess de Hoernle's many contributions.

Magnificent jewelry designed by Heller adorns many of Hollywoods most famous celebrities. Yaacov's jewelry is masterfully designed in styles so unique that at first glimpse one can actually recognize this great artist's work without looking for his signature.

Today, Yaacov works out of his Gallery 22 in Boca Raton, Florida. Working more passionately than ever in Boca's Royal Palm Place, the artist recently has created the magnificent YH Sculpture Garden outside his studio/gallery. This extensive bronze installation includes "The Temptation" in which Eve offers Adam an apple while the Serpent looks on, bronze dancers, a "Fiddler on the Roof" and more. Heller's Garden offers a peaceful area to sit, relax and talk with this internationally known artist.
